What about the elephant in the space: Bidens support for abortion rights and the Catholic Churchs opposition to abortion?
According to Joe, they didnt even talk about abortion. But Pope Francis did tell him that he was a “excellent Catholic” and ought to keep getting Communion.

Joe Biden met Pope Francis at the Vatican on Friday as part of his Biden European World Tour. The personal meeting was prolonged, and they went over the typical liberal problems, like climate modification, migrants, and Covid.
Biden even informed the Pope that he was one Irishman who never took a beverage! Malarkey!

Not all Catholic bishops were pleased to hear that Biden will continue to take the Eucharist. One is Bishop Thomas Tobin of Providence, R.I., who tweeted:

Other U.S. Catholic clergy who have actually opposed Biden and other pro-abortion Catholics taking Communion include the following:.

Please challenge President Biden on this important problem. His relentless assistance of abortion is a shame for the Church and a scandal to the world.

Archbishop Charles Chaput of Philadelphia;.
Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone of San Francisco– Nancy Pelosis diocese;.
Cardinal Raymond Burke, who has said that “Joe Biden is not a Catholic in great standing,” which he “must not approach to get Holy Communion.”.
In the Kansas City location, Archbishop Joseph Naumann has been a strong defender of life. Hes also chairman of the Committee for Pro-Life activities for the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.

But there are other clergy who have no issue with Catholic Democrats taking Communion. There are 68 bishops who do not want the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops to even go over where or not pro-abortion Catholics should approach the Eucharist. Instead, they would rather have “Eucharistic coherence.” Absolutely nothing to see here, move along.
Im not exactly sure why Pope Francis and other high ranking Catholic clergy would gloss over the most consequential ethical concern facing the Church. Do they really not care about life? Or do they prefer being close to political power?
Or, maybe, theyre considering Pew Research from in 2015 which reported that 56% of Catholics say that abortion needs to be legal in all or most cases. Whats more troubling is that 68% do not want Roe v. Wade reversed. Most Catholics who attended Mass frequently think that abortion must be illegal in all or most cases. Thats no surprise.
I need to admit, Im out of my lane when it comes to the Catholic laity or theology. Im a lifelong Missouri Synod Lutheran. Considering that the LCMS is staunchly pro-life, I do have some thoughts on the Pope Francis and his seemingly lackadaisical method of handling Joe Bidens pro-abortion politics.
Im likewise reminded of the notorious late-term abortionist, Dr. George Tiller, of Wichita, KS. As you might remember, an assassin shot and eliminated Tiller in 2009 during praise services at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Tiller was such a hero to the pro-abortion crowd that vigils for him were held nationwide, consisting of San Francisco. Imagine– a physician from insignificant Wichita, KS, getting such love from abortion-loving ladies.

What couple of individuals know, nevertheless, is that Tiller had actually joined Redeemer– of the liberal Evangelical Lutheran Church in America– due to the fact that his previous church had actually excommunicated him. Tiller had been going to Holy Cross Lutheran in Wichita, a Missouri Synod churchgoers, but the church excommunicated him for his abortion practice. Whichs not something that occurs daily.
Uwe Siemon-Netto, previous religious beliefs editor for United Press International and Lutheran theologian, wrote this about Tiller in 2008. Its cooling:.
” Down in Wichita, Kansas, there is a doctor by the name of George Tiller. On his site he boasts that he has currently performed 60,000 abortions, mostly late-term, and week after week he is killing 100 more coming children.”.
” Dr. Tiller does not believe of these fetuses as clusters of cancerous cells. He knows they are human since he baptizes a few of them before he incinerates them in his own crematorium. You dont baptize non-humans. Dr. Tiller understands that. He is a practicing Lutheran. His former parish, Holy Cross of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, excommunicated him as an unrepentant sinner.”.
So if a churchgoers of the much-smaller Lutheran Church– Missouri Synod could excommunicate among its members for the outright sin of abortion, why is the effective Roman Catholic Church hesitant to keep pro-abortion political leaders from Communion? I may not be Catholic, however as a Lutheran I also think in the Real Presence of the Body and Blood of Christ in the Eucharist. Its a Holy Sacrament for both churches– really major stuff.
I understand so numerous who staunchly stand for life, including my son-in-laws mom. Shes a signed up nurse who had when been the director of a crisis pregnancy center– ironically across the street from a Planned Parenthood center.
If what Joe Biden reported is real, then its frustrating that Pope Francis called him a “excellent Catholic” who can take Holy Communion. I thought life would be of utmost significance to the leader of the Roman Catholic Church.

… US President Joe Biden jokes with Pope Francis. Please challenge President Biden on this critical problem. Im not sure why Pope Francis and other high ranking Catholic clergy would gloss over the most substantial ethical issue confronting the Church. Because the LCMS is staunchly pro-life, I do have some ideas on the Pope Francis and his apparently lackadaisical method of managing Joe Bidens pro-abortion politics.
If a churchgoers of the much-smaller Lutheran Church– Missouri Synod could excommunicate one of its members for the egregious sin of abortion, why is the powerful Roman Catholic Church reluctant to keep pro-abortion politicians from Communion?
