In the current edition of “Biden Unscripted,” the president of the United States appeared to be fully on board with his administrations desires for UNLIMITED POWER (hint Emperor Palpatine here) over the social networks platforms. “You have a nice platform here, be an embarassment if something happened to it because information went out that we didnt like” was the message coming out of Jen Psakis mouth. Those remarks caused this “Biden Unscripted” minute with the press on Friday.
Implicating Facebook of “killing individuals” is ridiculous, and Facebook itself took umbrage at that remark, as Nina covered here.
While the media showed their glee by trotting out guests that agreed with Biden and composed op-eds in concurrence that this was all Facebooks fault, one can just hypothesize on the level of communication on the backchannels between Facebook and Team Biden. Did Facebook unexpectedly keep in mind that they have this thing called the First Amendment on their side, and tell the Biden administration to go things their demands where the sun dont shine?” Facebook isnt eliminating individuals, these 12 people are out there providing misinformation. Its bad information,” Biden informed reporters after offering remarks about the economy, referencing a study that showed a lots accounts on Facebook are responsible for the majority of false information about the coronavirus vaccine seen on the platform.”
These unscripted moments, as scary and authoritarian as they are, are really a present. The stating “when they inform you who they are, think them” applies here. Joe Biden may appear like a senile and frail old male in decrease, and he is, but he is a RADICAL senile and frail old man in decline. That “kindly moderate Grandpa Joe” was a complete wash by Democrats and the media (however I repeat myself) in order to make sure that he beat Bernie in the primary, and then inflated beyond thinking of throughout the general election. Accusing Facebook of “killing individuals” is ridiculous, and Facebook itself took umbrage at that remark, as Nina covered here.
While the media showed their glee by trotting out guests that agreed with Biden and composed op-eds in concurrence that this was all Facebooks fault, one can only speculate on the level of interaction on the backchannels in between Facebook and Team Biden. Did Facebook suddenly remember that they have this thing called the First Amendment on their side, and tell the Biden administration to go things their needs where the sun do not shine?
Joe Biden: Its not Facebook that is killing individuals, but Facebook users who are spreading “outrageous misinformation.” pic.twitter.com/qEifueCmva

And we all know that this kind of spin needs to wait till Monday, since Grandpa Joe does not deal with weekends.
” Facebook isnt killing individuals, these 12 individuals are out there offering false information. Its bad info,” Biden informed press reporters after giving remarks about the economy, referencing a study that revealed a dozen accounts on Facebook are accountable for the majority of misinformation about the coronavirus vaccine seen on the platform.”
” My hope is that Facebook, instead of taking it personally, that in some way Im saying Facebook is eliminating people, that they would do something about the misinformation, the outrageous false information about the vaccine,” Biden included. “Thats what I meant.”
Asked if he felt Facebook has done enough to suppress misinformation on its platform, Biden stated he didnt think they had since the last few days, but did not understand for sure.”
” Im trying to make people look at themselves,” he stated when asked how he may hold Facebook and other platforms accountable. “Look in the mirror. Think about that false information going to your kid, your child. Thats all Im asking.” Thats a level of spin that clearly got workshopped over the weekend. The president of the United States informing Facebook to basically check out their hearts and do what is right, is still a level of authoritarian control that stinks to high heaven. Soft-pedaling back the killing accusations was the apparent thing to do, but the implicit threat stays. (Though if Facebook ends up prohibiting Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for being an anti-vaccine , I will personally find that amusing, since a Democrat overreach into details suppression that ends up with a Kennedy being banned would be fantastic.).
The threat to free speech isnt any less even if Biden had to reclaim his Facebook remarks– he just meant the very same thing, but in a nicer method. There are no mean tweets from the Biden White House– simply the sound of the First Amendment being flattened by the steamroller of the extreme left, and youre not supposed to be paying attention to that.

Well, Joe Biden is once again having to “discuss” himself, since what he DID say wound up sounding actually, actually bad.
